Dearest Readers,
This past week has been nothing short of a whirlwind. I finally let the secret out that I would be publishing my debut novel, "The Legacy of Villains"! I've been completely bowled over with support and I am so grateful for friends, family, and my social media circle for making this crazy process worth it.
Want a peak behind the self-publishing curtain? Here's a brief overview of what needed to get done prior to my launch:
• Write the book (This is the easy part!)
• Format the book (Less easy, quite frustrating. Next time I'll be paying a pro to do this!)
• Design a cover (I worked with the fabulous team at MiblArt.com)
• Set up a website
• Set up an author social media
• Get my book on Goodreads
• Set up my e-book pre-orders on Amazon
• Set up my paperback pre-orders everywhere else (It's quite fun combing the internet and finding new places where you can order the book!)
• Get my newsletter together
• Prep and release my Advanced Reader Copies for my lovely reviewers. (I've received confirmation that these have landed in their hands, and I am both incredibly excited and devastatingly nervous!)
• Market, market, market!
Needless to say, it's been a very busy few weeks! But each task checked off is one step closer to the big day: March 21st. Are you counting down the hours? Just me? Fair.
I also wanted to remind you that while I update this Musings section with important news, you should sign up for the Newsletter itself if you want fun extra content! There's even a rumour that the first chapter of "Legacy" might be included in the next one...
